In a world of rapid change, you can’t expect that rigidly
defined rules will be the appropriate response to
changing circumstances. A ticked off customer
needs a solution right now from a front line customer
service rep – not some type of follow-up from head
office weeks later. A middle manager in a remote location
needs the ability to make a decision and must
commit to it today – they can’t afford to wait for the
wheels of head office bureaucracy to churn. Destroy
the hierarchy, and encourage a culture in which
people are given the mandate and the power to do
what’s right, at the right time, for the right reason.

POWER OF TECHNOLGY THROUGH SMS MESSAGING

About 24 months ago,i heard the opportunity of been invited to a seminar organised by Microsoft Nigeria on the need to fight piracy of Microsoft softwares.The invitation came through an Association which i belong.Microsoft International is trying to eradicate the issue of piracy in sub saharan Africa,they saw the need to involve IT practitioner both in the Hardware and the software industry.Piracy has really digged into the polity to the extent that Softwares are been sold on the street.
The seminar took place,a huge representative of IT companies was in attendance and was a success.
Here i come,an attendance sheet was provided by Microsoft to register your presence at the seminar where you provide the full details of your company or your personal details.To me,its a normal thing to do to know number of participants at the seminar but,to Microsoft its a means of garthering information for a purpose.
Sebsequently,any Seminar or information from Microsoft is sent directly to my phone and my email addresss.Through this means,i heard the opportunity of registering to be a partner with Microsoft.Now,i begin to reason why the Attendance and full details of companies was collected.
The greatest surprise to me was when i began to receive text messages from Companies i never had any business with,marketing their products/services,invitation for a program,introducing new products,sending monthly price list e.t.c.Again,wondering where a hell is this peolple got my phone number from? My first thought was,most of these companies was present at the seminar organised by Microsoft.The details was gotten from Microsoft due to the fact that they are partnering with Microsoft.Now,using the information for their own marketing tools and means of reaching more people.
With this medium,i have done business with most of these companies"Power of technology through SMS messaging..."

SMS BUSINESS IS A LUCRATIVE BUSINESS
The SMS business is a business i never thought is so lucrative and useful like this ! Though,i got familiar with sending SMS through phone when i started using my then "Motorola T20"phone,way back..Sending personal messages,love,prayer and inspirational messages to loved ones was the reign of the moment.Even,its only few people that knows how to use this for the said purpose.
Later,as i got acquinted with the internet,started coming across website site that offer free SMS to phones on the net but was more popular in the western world and the middle east.Some phone users switch over to using free internet SMS for their messages since they are not charged a dime.As this trend continue,some websites transform from free SMS to payment per SMS you sent through their site.Majority left the platform and switch over again to their phone.
Why are people switching back to their phone? Access to free SMS has been denied and so far they can send a message through their phones with deduction in Airtime,no need of double payment.Again,no much satisfaction is derived from sending an SMS to loved ones,just for personal use to show affection or information.This is what runs in majority of people's mind and their level of thinking which am not excluded.
Though,have heard of some companies dealing in SMS business but my thought is that,the business is not real,time wasting and cannot yield any positive income in real business life.My thoughts are absolutely wrong !
